When I was growing up, my grandma had a huge box holding all the little trinket lucky charms she received during the years on the 1st of March when Romanians are gifting "Martisor" to the loved ones. My biggest joy was to play with them and listen to her stories about when and who gave her each of them.
I didn't knew then, that I will one day live so far away, in a different country and that I will make this little charms myself, to hold and continue a tradition dating since Roman times, in the East of Europe.
